Ms. JoAnn’s House in Pelham Bay

Teachers and therapists at our Pelham Bay Early Childhood Center in the Bronx recently received a very appreciate note from the parents of Mason, a happy and motivated graduate of Ms. JoAnn’s Class 5.

“He leaves me daily with a smile, because he’s happy to go to school (I mean, Ms. JoAnn’s house!), and there is nothing more reassuring than knowing your son LOVES to go to school.”

“Dear Ms. JoAnn, Ms. Lissette, and Ms. Jasmine,

As the school year comes to an end, it saddens me that my son will no longer be part of the Pelham Birch Community, Class 5. I am so thankful that God placed my son in a community of dedicated individuals such as you.

Mason has made great strides this past year and that is all credited to each and every single one of you personally working with him. Thank you, ladies, for being angels to my son when I am not around. It is evident that you’ve all perfected your craft as educators and I am forever grateful to you all. My son loves this school and his teachers. Every morning he says, “Mami, I am going to Ms. JoAnn’s house?” He leaves me daily with a smile, because he’s happy to go to school (I mean, Ms. JoAnn’s house!), and there is nothing more reassuring than knowing your son LOVES to go to school.

Thank you, Meghan and Jessica, for providing outstanding services to Mason in OT and Speech. He remembers what you work on in his sessions because he SHOWS me. Thank you, Nurse Cleopatra, for always keeping me updated with Mason’s well-being when any incidents happened. Thank you, Krystal, for being kind and understanding when I called about busing. Thank you, DeAnn, for answering some of my questions in regards to his IEP and placements. Thank you, Dr. Chase, though I don’t know you as well, my son clearly adores you. Every time he sees you, he wants to hug you. You have an amazing team at your school. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Ladies, I will always remember you, and I know Mason will too. I wish you all the best and a bright future ahead. Your impact will continue to shine through.”

With much love,

Bianca Gonzalez and Albert Brito”
