Giving Children the Start They Need to Succeed

At Birch, we offer an array of pre-school education programs for children ages 3 – 5 years in unique environments appropriate for their individualized needs. Our early childhood programs provide educational and therapeutic interventions to young children which are designed to develop their skills and abilities. Parents and families are supported through workshops on various topics to assist them in understanding their child’s needs, the educational program designed for their child, and the educational process.

Our early childhood programs include:

Special Education Programs – Our quality individualized educational programming and therapeutic services are provided to preschoolers with autism and developmental disabilities who are deemed eligible by the NYC Department of Education.
Early Learn Programs – Our individualized educational programming is provided to 3- and 4-year-old preschoolers who meet eligibility criteria set forth by the NYC Administration for Children Services.
Universal Pre-K – Our educational programming for 4-year-old students meets best practice guidelines and lays the foundation for a successful transition to kindergarten.

Specialized Services

Autism Services: Within our preschool programs, we offer individualized, customized educational and therapeutic support services for preschoolers aged 3 to 5 who benefit from structured classroom environments geared toward optimal instruction. Instruction is geared toward the child’s abilities, interests, and needs in order to facilitate independence.

Educational Services: Our preschool education programs promote social-emotional, cognitive, communication/language, as well as fine and gross motor development. Educational support and therapeutic intervention is rigorous and begins at the child’s level; we establish high expectations and modify strategies to help the child reach his/her potential.
