Serving Preschool and School Age Students Typically Developing and with Special Needs

The Washington Heights Education Center is a vibrant community program located in a beautiful neighborhood in Washington Heights. The majority of our staff resides in the larger neighborhood and are typically bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English.

We have a large, diverse group of talented early childhood educators, special educators, and clinicians who provide a warm, nurturing environment for our young students to thrive in. Our innovative curriculum encourages independent problem solving through active exploration. Our program is rich in literacy, Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) activities, music, the arts, and technology.

The Washington Heights Education Center Preschool is an integrated program serving both typically developing and special needs preschoolers from ages 3-5. Additionally, we have a small school-age program, The Washington Heights Education Center School Age Annex, for students, ages 5-8, with a variety of learning challenges.
