Birch Family Services and Friends Celebrate Read Across America
Green eggs and ham, anyone?
Every year, Birch Family Services eight preschool and three school-age programs participate in the national Read Across America campaign, a celebration of Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Why? Because Dr. Seuss epitomizes a love of children & learning. His use of rhyme makes his books an effective tool for teaching young children the basic skills they need to be successful. When we celebrate Dr. Seuss and reading, we send a clear message to America’s children that reading is fun and important!
This year, staff, parents, local officials, and other friends took turns reading their favorite Dr. Seuss books to a very enthusiastic audience!
