Alumni, Staff, and Families Reunite at the Phyllis L. Susser School
As part of Birch Family Services’ 50th Anniversary celebration, last week, we hosted a heartwarming reunion at the Phyllis L. Susser School for Exceptional Children!
Alumni from across the decades, including some who graduated more than 25 years ago, returned to reconnect with former classmates, teachers, and staff. The evening was filled with shared stories, joyful reunions, and reflections on how the Susser School shaped their journeys.
We were honored to hear remarks from alumni, Birch leadership, and our Board of Directors’ 1st Vice Chair Robin Keller, who was joined by her son Gabe, a proud alum. The evening was made even more special by New York State Senator John Liu, who presented a proclamation recognizing the school’s profound impact on the community.
As Birch Family Services first program, the Phyllis L. Susser School has supported countless children and adolescents with autism and developmental disabilities in reaching their fullest potential. More than a reunion, the event celebrated the lasting bonds formed at the school and the powerful legacy Birch has built over the past half century.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in honoring the past, present, and future of Phyllis L. Susser School.
